I was wondering the same thing, why are they dressed in normal clothes, and I didn't recognize some of the characters in that clip as characters out of the book.

Starting in the third movie, most of the action started to take place away from the school. The filmmakers thought it would make more sense for the young characters to not wear robes while not in school.

Sort of true, I always enjoy the movies becuase in way your imagination gets put up on the big screen.

But at the same time it sort of ruins the books, becuase of time constraints and unimportant details they cut a lot of things out.

I knew this, but it seems like with the movies they take more of a dramatice approach to the characters, getting involved in their lives and branching away from the storyline of the book.

Nearly 900 if memory suits me. This one, from what I remember, is supposed to be well over a thousand pages.

Not even 700 actually for the last book and the last one was smaller than the prior Order of the Phoenix which was 800ish pages.

Not even 700 actually for the last book and the last one was smaller than the prior Order of the Phoenix which was 800ish pages.

700 pages for the last book? I seriously doubt that. There's too much going on, too many loose ends to wrap up, and so much more development to come.
