Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

so a friend of mine bought the book a while back when it came out (hard cover). one day he shows me the book stored in a plastic bag like its something special and takes it out to show me something.... i dont see anything special about the book but then he tells me a chapter is missing. turns out to be the chapter called "the chamber of secrets!" how crazy is that?
if your wondering its the us version but i thought i would share this with everyone.

nice to see that not everyone likes every book. had to force myself to read order of the phoenix, but i hear the last one is good so im looking forward to reading it.

Haha so it wasn't ripped out or something? is the book smaller than ones with the orgiinal chatper.... where'd it go

he showed it to me a few years ago already but you cant tell by looking at it. the pages jump where the chapter should be, so i would assume its a bit smaller.

I had a hamlet book like that. Not only was it missing like 20 pages, it also repeated a set of 20 pages, so it looked at thick as the regular version
