So...what do you think we'll find out in the final book?

Some unresolved issues:

1. Who is R.A.B. and who helped R.A.B. steal the locket?
2. Snape, good or bad?

1. I think that R.A.B. was Regulus Black, and that Harry's mother, Lily, who was a potions expert, helped him replace the used potion and counteract the effects of it.

2. I think Snape was acting on Dumbledore's orders when he killed him. He had made the unbreakable vow, so he was required to kill Dumbledore. It also helped keep Snape on the inside, a sacrifice Dumbledore was willing to make in order to help Harry defeat Voldemort.

What do you think?

I'm thinking I wish these books came out closer together, because I've forgotten half of what I read in book 6 already, including that stuff you're talking about. I don't want to read it again, but I may have to.

Yeah same here. I barely remembered what a horcrux was when i read some reviews.

As for Snape being bad or good. No question that he is good. Dumbledore trusted him implicitly. If he really did die, then he can't be wrong. If he's not dead, even better.

There's actually books on this for sale on amazon. one reviewer explained how harry couldn't move until dumbledore hit hte ground after he was frozen. but avera kedavra kills instantly. that means dumbledore isn't dead and that snape actually unfroze him.

i guess it makes sense. i don't spend time thinking about this and have only read hte books once.

and hands down RAB is regulus black. if you read the book carefully, it's prob quite obvious.

I hope Harry dies. I won't have to keep rereading the books, since I'm sure there would be more if he didn't. :disgust:

There are lots of theories on mugglenet.com in the editorials section.

My personal theory is that Harry is himself a horcrux. This would explain how he could feel what Voldemort was feeling in book 5. Where else do you feel feelings but in your soul? This means that in order to destroy that part of Voldy's soul, Harry is going to have to face his worst fear and have a dementor suck the soul out, even though he won't know if it'll take his soul or Voldy's. That would be totally badass.

Oh, and Hagrid's going to die.

Unlikely. Voldemort had made his Horcruxes before Harry was even born, and wouldn't have made him into one later if he just planned on killing him.

This would explain how he could feel what Voldemort was feeling in book 5.
That was because of their deep-seated connection, which is why they were trying to teach him occulency.

This is primarily a children's book (though it isn't so much now). I doubt she'd end it by killing off any of the trio. It just doesn't fit with the whole style of the book. Everyone else, however, will die (Hagrid, Remus). But Harry will still be happy. Somehow.

Snape and Hermione will hook up, as will Ron and Harry. Ron's dad finds out, and kills Harry. Voldemort is exposed as a transvestite and is forced to move to New Jersey in embarassment.

End of the series is Harry Potter beating Voldimort with the help of Hermoine and carrot top. Over and over the series stresses friendship winning the day. It is likely that Hermoine or carrot top will die.

I doubt snape is a traitor in the end. I believe he is really a converted villian and working with dumbledork.

I'm not so sure, since Hermione and Ron are "together". I think there'll be a happy ending for the most part. Someone else will sacrifice their life, I'm sure. Perhaps Snape will die for Harry (sounds most likely to me).

After all the build up, it would be stupid for him to be truly evil. Everything he has done to Harry makes us think he's still evil, so to just continue would be...well...stupid.

I know how the book will end. Harry and Ginny will kiss while Harry is mortally injured. A physical rainbow of love will be projected from them, and Voldemort will be hit by it. He will shriek and melt, as he can not stand the feeling of love.

I have little faith in Rowling, right now.

Rowling also claims someone will use magic for the first time, late in life, in a desperate situation. Since we know so few useful non-magical characters, do you think it could be Dudley?

Snape dying for harry is just a likely, yep.

I sure hope that harry shows more power than he has so far in any of the books in the last book by a LOT more like 10x more at least. Like kicking dozens of wizards butts at the same time protecting students before he is drastically weaker when facing voldimort but still wins with help of friends.

I figure something along those lines.

I also envision in the end harry's parents somehow being worked into it like it being revealed that they gave up their powers and abilities to harry when they died with a new spell they made and those powers were dorment till the last book etc. Combined with harry's talents are his parents talents making him the strongest wizard that ever existed. Powers he could not have handled till mature enough etc.

It's probably (Aunt) Petunia Dursley. I think I read something about that.
