Harmony Remotes

I have three Harmony 659 remotes in action right now controlling three similar, but not identical set ups. I LOVE Harmony's, but there is one thing I have not been able to figure out how to do I (and I fear it is not possible):

I would like to set up one login on the Harmony Remote Software program with the settings just the way I want them and then copy those settings to the two other logins (where I can then tweak the settings to match the slight differences in hardware).

There does not seem to be a way to "back-up" or download the settings or to copy them from one login to another (you also, apparently, cannot change the login IDs, which I a pain right now, but is not important). You also cannot upload the settings from you remote to a login (at least, as far as I can tell).

To accomplish the uniformity I am looking for manually seems time consuming and very hard to do accurately.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You have the wrong remotes if that's what you want to do. You would have been better served with Pronto line of remotes, but even they are are time consuming to setup.

I really like the Harmony's. I am not familiar with Prontos.

Any other thoughts?

I think setting up each remote is the only option. Harmony's setup isn't meant for more than one remote.

I was hoping someone had come up with a hack or workaround of some kind.

It can definately be done. You however need dealer level access to the accounts. So either find a dealer who is willing to help you out or I suggest call harmony's help line. You may need to get to tier 2 support, but for them it would be a breeze. In the dealer interface it is the matter of pressing a few buttons. Probably less than 1 minutes work.

I read on remotecentral.com that it would take Tier 2 assistance.

I am going to work on setting up my "master account" and, once that is finalized, contact support.

Thanks.
