I remember driving a full size van a couple of years ago. There were about a half dozen modified Harleys in the lane next to me. Modified to be louder I mean. The temptation to veer into their lane to shut the bikes from Hell up was strong.
 
They don't really bug me.. but I guess we don't live close enough to any big roads to be hearing it at 7am..

i know the feeling.ah well if ever I won a harley(doubtful) im going to make it quiet, and also make it blow bubbles like that contraption in willy wonka.

i live in a town of 8k.
the road i live on is an ave with a church and no businesses on it whatsoever.
maybe i just keep hearing the same guy.
its funny, when i used to live home my neighbor across the street would be revving his harley @ around the same time.🙁

I'm glad that you don't drive that van anymore as my bike has an exhaust that sounds like a harley (just not as annoying)
 
Thta's why they call the throttle the "loud handle" - it's like a volume knob. Twist it and the bike doesn't go any faster, but it sure makes a lot more noise. I hate those things.
