10 days before the state's kick-off caucuses

The timing of this is interesting. No - not a conspiracy for you tinfoil types, it's just that dean has started to slip, been hit hard lately, and now has issues with previous comments and positions(The Editors videos).
Now it looks like all the local press here in Iowa will have something to yap about instead of deans "oops" type comments. Just savy politics by one of the weasels here in Iowa.

Boy is little Dick going to be pissed when he is informed of this! :p

I knew about this days ago. ;)

Although I don't know how much it can help him with these DEVASTING 4 year old comments coming out. My prediction is that all the extremists in Iowa will all of a sudden abandon Dean and support the other flaming pinko in the race, Joe Lieberman.

Well, my "sources" said he(harkin) had made a decision but they couldn't tell me who it was. A different source told me that Harkin really was conflicted about his endorsement. I guess he decided to back the guy who has the best chance at getting the Dem nod.

Anyway - I posted this in my other thread but it's relevant here too.

Iowa: Tide of Second Thoughts Rises Among Democrats

I fully acknowledged the other day that Dean was in trouble in some of the leadoff states and nationally. The attacks on him are working. It will be a test of his team's media savvy to curb his negative image, a test of his personality to bring the Democratic party around him if he starts to win most of the primaries, and a test of the grassroots if they can truly deliver the votes when it counts.

Bush won the nomination with inferior ideas but superior money. There's little doubt that Dean has superior money and considering several (but not all) of his opposition are flinging little more than poo . . . he may have superior ideas.

Well, true - his biggest challenge will be moving toward the center inspite of his base and without appearing to "cave" into more centrist views.(ala this yet to be thought out middle-class tax cut)

I don't know, I've cooled a bit in my ardor for Dean. I'm giving Clark a closer look. And, my wife the Republican says she won't vote for anyone but Clark or Lieberman and Lieberman has been colored gone already unless a miracle occurs. :)

This would be the first election we both voted for the same Presidential candidate. I almost divorced her over those Reagan votes. :) Anyway, before I die I'd like to think we were on the same wave length at least once. :) I know how Carville must feel sometimes. :)

Anyway, endorsements mean very little to the voters. And, the old Dean was right about these Iowa caucuses. Totally meaningless in my view.

$5 says she's just giving you lip service and that she really votes for Bush. Most likely she's just tired of listenting to you whine about Bush and relented just for the peace and quiet it would bring her. :D

bingo... The only way a Republican would vote for a Democrat is in the primaries is to vote in a manner that would weaken the front runner, like voting for Al Sharpton.
