Hardware/software way to fix bad CRCs on DVDs?

One file on this DVD has a bad CRC. It has a couple of scratches which weren't immediately removed by light cleaning (rubbing on shirt -- no, rubbing the correct way). I'm wondering if there's some way to repair the damaged disc, clean the disc, or make windows "ignore" the error when copying the file.
 
you can try washing it with a little soap and water. don't use a rough towel though, just pat it dry. that sometimes helps for me.

or try using a different brand/model dvd reader, might make a difference.
