Hardware requirements for NFS Prostreet??

Hi GPU Guru's

Well what kind of a system would make this game run smoothly at 60fps with all the Eye candy switched on. Is my system good enough for it?? i know the demo is not released yet but looking at the promos.. it looks like a GPU killer. I pray to GOD that these guys come out with Widescreen support for the game. previous releases like NFS Mostwanted and NFS Carbon ran very smoothly at minmum of 45 fps with all the eye candy on except for vertical sync but i guess i need a better card for this Game 🙁

Hmz, did you play DiRT ??? I'm guessing if you could run that with acceptable FPS, then so will Pro Street. Hard to say though.

I think you will be able to run it fine at high settings, you might have to turn down a few of the options but it will definitely look great on your pc. Also, hopefully this game gets good vista support unlike carbon 🙂

Just downloaded the demo and my machine is not by far and away bleeding edge or even leading edge but, it chunked so hard I quit solely out of frustration. I had it at my LCDs standard resolution of 1280x1024 and started with it maxed out and was getting about a frame a second, so I bottomed it out and may have been getting 10fps. Thats with a San Diego core at 3ghz, two gigs of ram in sync at ddr ~550 and a 7800GT over clocked running off a first get 36gb raptor. Like I said not leading edge but, it runs the UT3 demo with some eye candy no problem and any previous NFS game with all the eye candy besides AA or AF. So if the performance of the demo is any ruler to measure by, you're going to need 8800gt's in SLi and a brand new motherboard with a core 2 duo over clocked with at least 2gigs of ram and you might be able to turn on some AA.

It runs smoothly (> 25FPS) at 1920x1200, 2XAA, in-game settings maxed (except shadows IIRC) on the hardware in my sig. Supports 1920x1200..havent checked for other WS resolutions though. The graphics look fantastic when maxed out!

EDIT: It supports 1680x1050 too.
Quick benching on fraps shows min FPS of 32 and max of 76, avg of 47 for the scenario above on the Grip Race map.
At 1680x1050, the numbers are 36, 91 and 50.
