Hardware question about screws.

I ordered a PSOne replacement shell and the seller said it was easy to install. When I got it, it was a pain in the arse. I need to know how to get these to look like this. To get that done I used a screw and it was hard as a rock to screw in. Took me about half an hour!

Problem now is that I need to get 5 more of those things done before I can actually use the shell. My hand is killing me, and I'm not gonna go through that torture ever again. Is there an easy way to get this done? I have no bits but I know someone that might. That guy on eBay is gonna get a negative feedback from me though, he didn't even respond to my email.

I wouldn't go so far as a tap, just get some self tapping screws of the right size, they will work just fine, especially in plastic. They look like normal screws except it has a small wedge cut out of the tip...
