Hardware Profiles"

I have an entertainment system with an older video card with TV OUT. It works well and drives my tv also..

I find myself in need of an additional gaming machine. Not to serious (cs, ut , quake,)

I would like to know if any of you have Used the (Hardware Profiles) that is native to windows

and if it is possible to install an additional gaming card (geforce gts/no tv out) and switch between the cards at boot..

In other words... 2 video cards 1 ATI/tvout for Multimedia stuff. and 1 gts for gaming.. create 2 profiles and select which video card you want to use at boot..

Can it be done?

Or is there another way besides buying a gts /w tv out.....

Why don't you get a PCI version of an ATI All in wonder (which has TV-out) and then get a decent gaming card on your AGP slot? This way you have 2... OR you could get a TV-tuner on a pci slot, and get a good gaming card on your AGP slot.

DOOD you totally missed the point.. I dont wanna have to buy a new video card... I would buy a stinkin 40.00 gts 2 with tv out if I wanted a single card solution..
but I dont wanna spend any money.

Has anyone messed a round with hardware profiles?

I guess the only thing for me to do is try it ... could be terrrible waist of time if it is impossible to do.....
