Any sites out there that have the power draw that various hardware takes? I have a system here that has 7 hard drives in it, and they had only put in a 300w power supply. Has been running fine for a month or so, but just wondering if/when it might need a bigger power supply

P4 2.0
512MB DDR
Radeon 7000

etc

It is probably a good 300W PSU then. Or, you don't use all 7 hard drives very often at the same time. If you were to use a stability testing program that would use all 7 HDDs at once then you might crash your system.

What kind of PSU? What are some of the other components in your system (CPU, Memory, Video, etc.)?

Umm, the other specs are listed in the first post. There is also a propietary DVR card in there that controls input from 16 cameras...that is why there are so many hard drives in there, this computer is the heart of a security system. The power supply is an AOpen

Had I built the computer, I would have used a 450w and put the whole thing in a 24" case. I had to install the 6 extra drives, ended up having up hack up an old drive bay case and modding it in there so I would have the room to add the extra drives.
