Hardware or software, which to you prefer?

Me and a friend ave been talking about whats easier, and more enjoyable to work with, hardware, and software. I would take hardware any day, and he software. What about everyone here? Would you rather find out whats wrong with components of a system, or why x program wont do what it should?

I prefer the hardware. To me its easier to narrow down possibilities that way. For software I just end up searching the net then asking questions. Besides, a hardware failure usually results in some upgrade... 🙂

You can have the best hardware in the world but if you dont have the software to run it you're not going anywhere.

Same thing about software, you can have the best program ever made but without hardware......

You cant have one without the other so my answer to the question is BOTH. 😉

Hardware for me, problems are clear cut, either it works or it dosn't. Fixing problems is easy, pop in a spare.

I prefer hardware too. It's so much easier to troubleshoot. With software, you get all these cryptic messages that you have to call tech support or spend hours to fix. 🙁
