Hardware Newbie, Need Advice on MOBO

I went out and bought a k7VTA3 motherboard and a 1.2 gHz Processor to go with it, as well as 256 megs of DDR RAM. At the time, the sales rep. assured me that this mobo supported a 266 mHz FSB. I then went off on vacation for a week (this becomes important in a second). While on vacation, the 7 day return period expired. Upon returning home and actually opening the thing up, I read right in the first few pages that the motherboard only supported a 133 mHz FSB. I realize the error here is in my not researching (or knowing any better, hence the title 🙂 ). But will this difference in the motherboard FSB speed seriouly affect my system? I bought it as a simple/cost-effective upgrade to play the latest games (Tribes 2, for example).

Thanks in Advance

You have no problem. The FSB is 133. That is normal. The RAM is doublepumped, thus running at 266.

Correction, both the fsb and the DDR ram are double pumped, so they both run at 133MHz, but are 266MHz effectivley.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Why is it listed as 133 mhz in the manual, I wonder? If either of you can point me to an faq page (i'm digging through them currently to make heads or tails of all this) that can better explain this double-pumping thing, I'd appreciate it. Thanks again.
