Hardware hack of the day

I had a Lacie external DVD-RW drive that had both Firewire and USB2 interfaces.

I removed the cover and pulled out the actually drive (a pioneer dvd-rw).
Installed that drive internally in my GFs PC.

Now I have an external hookup for any IDE hard drive.
Much more convienient than opening the case when I just want to get something off an old drive.

It works perfectly, I just threw an 80 gig maxtor in there and it was picked up right away.

I think I might use this for a external backup drive or something.

That is all... where do I pick up my :cookie: ?
