I am in need of an upgrade too.. I am just waiting for January as Christmas time is a high expendature time of year - without upgrading my PC..

Also the more I wait, the better CPU/mobo combo I can afford.

and boy oh boy did that eat into everyone elses X-Mas gift budget as I bought those for myself. I still was able to buy everyone gifts so I dont feel too bad about my new hardware. =)

my Inspire and the Audigy OEM costed me a total $120... dang I'm poor, after spending like total $900 bucks on my system even though some the components are from other machines.
 
Plan to ebay what I got for good hardware.. hehe
Can't complain though, I'm greatful. It's been rough
around the country and I'm fortunate for what I have.

Hope to get a XP1700+ and some RAM for my system..
hope the watch sells well 🙂

Actually it's kind of rude but who am I to judge. I know if I ever bought someone a watch for Christmas and they sold it they would never get sh!t from me again, but that's just me right?
 
I agree with you on the gift reselling. That's just wrong, especially if it's family...if whoever gave it to you found out, not only would they probably never buy something for you again, but they'd be hurt that their gift was essentially treated like resale garbage.
 
My parents learned just to give me money. I guess I have just bastardized Christmas, but they have no clue what I would like, and since I am actually working in a real job for the first time in my life, I normally don't need to wait for Christmas for what I really want. They understand that too. A gift given to you is yours. Do with it as you please. Would these people have done the same thing if they had gotten you something you really didn't like and you exchanged it for something else?
 
Unfortunately, you hit the nail on the head with your own comment about "bastardizing Christmas." Your words speak volumes...
 
I got a Samsung SyncMaster 570V TFT display, its pretty sweet for a budget model. Its going to look slick in my dorm room when i go back to school in a few weeks!
 
I got Klipsch Promedia 5.1s WooHoo!!!
Now I just have to wait for radioshack to open so that i can buy the right cables to get my center channel to interface with my GTXP.
 
I got an MS Wireless INtellimouse Explorer...yummmm!...It feels so good I think I might take it to bed with me....yumm!
