i was hoping you guys could help me avoid problems with removing and re-installing drivers for audigy soundcard, asus7200 graphics and ms forcefeedback stick, running on winxp pro. i posted this in tech support also, and thought it might be appropriate here too. i want to re-install these drivers in order to resolve problems i have playing games. one really bad problem i have is having a previous screen pop in and out while i'm playing. another is having a looping "tick" noise while in-game. i have these problems playing ut2k3, moaa, wc3 and bf1942 and especially older games.
specifically, i was concerned about issues occurring in winxp pro if/when the incorrect sequence of removing and re-installing these drivers is committed. also, if there were issues with collateral damage to associated app's during the rem/re-install process of these drivers in this operating system. thanks all 🙂
i can swap out vid card with ti4600, radeon 8500 and 9700 pro if needed, and i have on-board sound and sb live 5.1 for swapping on the sound side. and ms ff2 stick.
