Hardware DivX/Xvid decoding?

I've made DivX backups of all my DVDs, and I'm wanting to put together a spare-parts system to play them at my vacation home. I've got the following parts to choose from:

K6-2/450 & motherboard
Celeron 433 & motherboard
Nothing videocard (2d only)

I'm thinking that if it will not work to decode DivXs in linux (neither system will currently in WinXP at least) that I might need to buy some sort of hardware solution that would offload the processing from the CPU.

I know that modern video cards tend to support DVD decoding, but does that include DivX's?
What about stand-alone products like a Hollywood Plus?

Video card wont help, if you could maybe get a K6-II+ or III+ that would be a much better idea. The chache mem on those 2 chips you have just dosen't cut it.
