Hi all,
On my bench I have a notebook that connects to a piece of test equipment via the parallel port. The interface fails at a currently unknown location. If I replace the notebook with another notebook exactly the same the failure still occurs. There is no failure if I use a notebook from a different manufacturer in the same configuration.
This suggests there is an issue with the design of the parallel port or one of its' interfaces on the original notebook.
Does anyone know of any software or hardware diagnostics that I can use to test these two different manufacturers notebooks? Perhaps even to the signal levels/thresholds?
Cheers,
Rob
