I'm planning PC via custom build shop that will have three hard disk drives (one regular internal, & two mobile-rack type) to run the following operating systems:
Linux Mint 10
PC-BSD 8.1
XP Pro + Browser Linux 400b5 on partition
I need help finding components that are known compatible with all three operating systems! I require ATX motherboard....I'm hoping for Gigabyte Dual-BIOS (or some other brand with dual-BIOS) and thermal sensor to monitor temperature. Also require either Phenom II (x2,x3,or x4) or Athlon II (x2, x3, or x4) CPU. I'll want PCIe, SATA2 (or at least SATA), one eSATA, USB 2.0, FireWire, & Gigabit Ethernet. I'm hoping for graphics card, TV tuner card, and ASUS Xonar D2 sound card. I'd like to avoid using Intel components in this build if at all possible...but what works with all my targeted OSs is the final deciding factor. Suggestions much appreciated!
