Can anone tell me how to format my second western digital hardrive? I set it up the way that their software say, but it only allow me to set it up as a boot drive. I'm using Windows 2000 and if I try to format the hard drive out of windows exployer or My Computer a dialog box come up after I select format the dialog box comes up to format the drive that I want but when I pick start it say ta-da ta-da about loosing what on the hard disk and when I pick OK it say that it can't format that drive. Another thing, the dialog box say that my 40 gig HD is only a 1.95 GB. What gives? How do I get it to format to a 40 GB HD NTFS?

Sounds like maybe you tried to partition it in DOS using fat16.

Are you trying all this is Computer Management/Disk Manager? (right click My Computer~Manage , etc, etc)
I wouldnt use the WD apps unless your bios wont handle the full drive size.

Hope that helps
