long story short the hardrive first
kept saying missing win.com , i managed to get rid of that with scanreg
this is on windows 98 , so the message stopped showing up , now it did this weird hardrive recovery thing where it scans for corrupted volumes etc for bout an hour and once it finished , it gave an error saying sumthing bout scanreg (sorry dont remember right now) . Now the pc doesnt get the win.com error anymore but it keeps getting the blue screen of death right before its bout to boot into desktop .

is there anyway i can fix this problem, recover the hardrive or
put the hardrive into another pc as a secondary drive and access it through the other pc?

plz help as soon as possible

thank you

Yeah i'd hook it up as a secondary drive in another PC, recover the data (if it's still there), & then check for errors, format, etc.

If you can get it working as a secondary drive in another PC, i'd recommmend running Speedfan & checking under the S.M.A.R.T. tab to see what the drive fitness is.

Run the detail analysis report online & see what it tells you about the HDD.
