"With all that we have seen so far it does not appear to actually give us any indication how video cards are going to compare in any real games. It produces an overall 3DMark which is taken from unbalanced game tests. Furthermore as we have seen directly above in the benchmarks, drivers can be optimized to run the game tests faster. The problem is this is just a benchmark and not based on any real world gaming engines. Therefore while you may get a higher 3DMark number you will not see ANY increase in performance in any games that are out there"

"In closing, Kyle has informed me that ard|OCP will not be using the overall 3DMark03 score to evaluate video cards. "

Yeaaaahhhhh! This test means jack squat!

wow, the Radeon destroys the GeforceFX in the pixel shader 2.0 test.

And that pretty much sums up why Kyle refuses to use it to benchmark.

Wow, way to take a stand Kyle. Isn't this what people without rocks for brains have been saying since Final Reality? Only took you 4 years to realize this?

No Doubt. Any thought on the new Nvidia drivers? Are they just that much better? or optimised for 03?

Thank GOD!

3DMark started off as something special (back in the days) however over the years it's turned into nothing more then marketing for Madcarrot or Madonion, Futuremark whatever their name is now. Forget about real world performance, just make sure people continue to hit that website/download link.
