Hardly audible squealing sound?

Hi there,

When I boot up my PC, there is a hardly audible high-pitched sound for about a second or two...I probably just never noticed it before, but does this sound normal? Everything is running fine on my PC and the temps and power stuff is just fine.

Could just be the sound of everything spinning up to speed...

good point. it only happens when i reboot and the win xp screen comes up. probably me just not noticing it before.

i get something like this when im using my cdrw...

When I first turn on my box, my CPU fan (slot 1) makes a loud squelling noise for like 5 seconds, then quiets back down.
