I don't know what you are talking about, I'm trying to pull data off a bad drive, not erase it. ;)

Anyone have a URL for NTFSExplorer ?

THANKS

How important is the data ?
If you really need it back, buy a identical drive and swap the electronics.
Works 95% of the time unless there was a head/platter crash.
In that case your screwed.

This is a buddies data, it's some what important, but nothing he's going to loose sleep over if he looses it, this is just a best shot try with data recovery software is all..

So the cheapest way to do this, and I personally don't want to rip a drive apart either, so I'm just looking at software solutions...

THANKS
