Harddrives, cd rom,& cd burner Setup??

Hi witch would be the correct way of instaling two harddrives , cd rom, and a cd burner? run the master harddrive from Primary ide them slave harddrive on the same cable, or master hardrive off the primary ide to cd rom, and the Slave Harddrive off the secondary IDE to burner? iam using a Asus P4TE mother thanks

Run the two hardrives on the first chain, set master and slave. Then set the burner master and cdrom slave on the second chain. This is the optimal basic setup, even though newer systems (some) can allow primary and secondary to be set in bios.
