I am in the process of researching components for a new computer. Right now I am looking at an MSI K8N Neo 4-F socket 939 mobo with the AMD 64 3200 Venice core CPU. I want my machine for not only gaming, but also video/media work, plus standard office applications.

So in your opinion what would be a good solid choice harddrive for a higher end machine? Thanks.
 
Try to pick a SATA drive, 16mb cache and NCQ and you're good to go. I won't recommend any...because I don't wanna start the war of ''OMG I BOUGHT THIS MANY FROM [INSERT BRAND HERE] AND IT DIED!! THAT [BRAND] SUCKS!!''

So...ya...

Anything from Seagate, Hitachi, Western Digital or Maxtor is good.
