i would like to know what is the biggest (and affordable, meaning under $300) IDE harddrives out there right now?

All i know is the 80 GIg harddrives....is there anything bigger out there?

Thanks. (oh and Only IDE please)

you might want to check out the prices and do your shopping at places like pricewatch.com and see what is available.

there are no IDE harddrives that I know that are out costing more than 250 at the lowest price.
These are the 75-80GB IBM/Maxtor

You can get a great hard drive for that price. You should be able to get at least a 60 GB (if not 80GB) 7200RPM hardrive for under 300! Also look for the fastest seek time you can find (under 9ns if at all possible) the faster the better!

The WD WD800BB which is the largest (80GB) 7200RPM drive currently available can be had for under $300.
