4 count'em 4 of my harddrive all went south on me in a matter of 2 weeks. There is a clicking sound coming from them and my computer stopped recognizing them. Does that mean that one of the disc inside the drive broken off and is hitting the side and the drive will not be functional again?

that pretty bad luck to have 4 go down in two weeks. If they are all making that distinctive clicking sound, try to save anything you can before they are completely gone!

No, it more likely means that one of the heads is contacting one of the platters in there. It "clicks" because the head is skipping off the surface repeatedly. Back everything up if you can, because one of these days a head is going to hit a platter and get stuck and then your drive will be completely toast.

As for all four going within 2 weeks, could be bad luck, but could also be dirty power. Check your inline power to make sure that its reasonably close to the standard your power supply requires (e.g. 120 v). If its not, then you might need a UPS with voltage stabilization to prevent this from occurring in the future.
