Harddrive problem

Snaper

Junior Member
I have two harddrives on my system. One has the letter "C" and the other has the letter "d". This time when I booted up the d drive was given the letter "e". D and still be seen but not accessed.

Is there some way I can change the e drive back to d. I have tried to work the divice manager but did not have any luck. I figure I will have to do something in the registery.

Can someone please give me some help.

Thank you in advance😱

Did you add something to your system? All of a sudden it just gave you an extra drive? And it's the same even after you reboot? Are you running any disk manager software? Hmm...try disabling the drive (select none) in the BIOS, usually Windows can use the drive anyway...just try it and see what happens.

Thank for your input. I did not and anything. I did do some scanning but that should not make any difference. I have rebotted several times. I have a icon for the C drive(the main one) and one for the d and e drive. The d drive has always been my second drive. I can not get into that drive. What was on the d drive is not what showes up on the e drive.

The only utilites I am running is Norton Utilites. This is a new one on me.

Again thanks for any help.
