I formatted the 80 gig drive and re-installed XP Pro on a co-worker's PC on Saturday. It was running fine as I installed all the windows updates and Zone Alarm Pro. I turned it off, awaiting her decision about what kind of anti-virus she wanted installed. The people at Norton told her they had had some problems with SP2 so she told me today to install AVG. When I went to boot the computer it started giving me a boot error screen. I thought I would clean the drive and do another Windows install. When it booted to the CD-rom, I went through the process to start the install. I proceeds to tell me no harddrive is hooked to the computer. I checked the eide and power cables and everything appears to be connected just fine. When I go into the bios set up it shows the drive in the boot sequence but the computer will not boot to it. What's up?
