Ok this is weird, this is the 3rd Tyan Trinity 400 motherboard that will not accept memory in any slot but the 1st, no matter what i do. 256 is the max. Does anyone have any idea what the hell could cause this? I have tried everything, I have swtiched everything in bios and in windows, I have made sure settings are all the same and the memory is exactly the same...I refuse to beleive that 3 of them could be wrong in a row. Of course this is a Via motherboard....

According to their website, "With three 168-pin DIMM sockets, the Trinity 400 can provide a very flexible memory configuration of up to 1.5GB of PC133 SDRAM or up to 768MB of PC100 SDRAMs. "

And here is the mem compatibility list.

I'm running 768 on my Trinity 400...have been for well over a year.

Maybe your memory is incompatible or your settings are incorrect?
