Harddrive light not working?

I just noticed that my Harddrive activity light isnt flashing at all. All of a sudden it just doesnt work. I checked the cable and its connect right. When I restart the computer it goes red and turns off, so the light works. Why isnt it working correctly? Does it have anything to do with installing Via 4in1 drivers(4.26).

Have you tried turning the small, thin LED cable connected to the motherboard around?

Yes I tryed that. But the light has been working fine for months now all of a sudden...

Try testing the LED with a 9V or something.

When I press the restart button the LED lights up for a few seconds. So I know the light works.

Try reversing the pin.

Yes I must say again that I tryed reversing the pin and it still is screwed up. Its weird it stays hard red when I turned the PC on then when windows loads it goes off.

If your H/D is still working be happy. It might just be the light,wire, or the connector on the MotherBoard has gone bad. Since you already reversed the wires.
