Yes, you read it rght, the famous Razer Boomslang mice are back in action ready to aid your fragging desires. I own one of these already and have recommended them. Now the company has a new funding source and are releasing more mice for shipping! Get 'em while they're hot.

I don't see why everyone loves these mice, they're extremely sensitive. I game with my MS Intellimouse Optical and it works great. Oh well, I guess it's just preference.

<< a hot deal? no wonder these guys have trouble getting supporters :) who buys $100 mice? >>

I do. ;) :D

The boomslang is great! Best thing for all my gaming needs. I've owned several other mice before (optical and ball) and nothing comes close to it for gaming! :) Even the new Explorer 3.0 (own this as well) isn't good enough if you are a person demanding the most sensitive mice out there. :)

Good deal, but if you know how, you can get the Boomslang for less than $99. ;)

lol, less than $99 oh boy...i'd still rather end up in last place on a UT or Quake server than spend even $50 on a mouse ;)

IMO, the Logitech dual-sensor optical mouse (just hitting the market now) is the best gaming mouse around.

Mouse balls are just so 20th century. . .

I loved my boomslang, but it got to the point where I couldn't clean it any more so that it wouldn't get stuck. The precision of the mouse is awesome, but the bonuses of the new Optical Explorer outwheigh the constant ball mouse cleaning. I wish someone could make an optical mouse that is as sensitive as the boomslang. I think I read that the Boomslang has an optical piece that reads off the ball. If this is the case, couldn't they make a fully optical mouse (non-ball) that has the accuracy of the Boomslang. I would gladly pay $100 for such a device. Maybe that's what the Mamba could be if they successfully stay out of bankruptcy? You just can't get anywhere close to the same AWP accuracy as you can with the Boomslang.

this things kinda cool but i dont see how the company will survive (again) targeting such a niche market with such an expensive product.

There is a point where it's just too accurate... I think the boomslang 2000 is beyond the threshold... The champion quake players only use the 1000.

wow, boomslangs back in stock! :)

actually i think $100 is better for an upgrade than a mouse... and i like my current mouse. it's 800 dpi - not too far off from 1000 dpi if you really think about it. if i could dispose of money as if it were sand, i would buy a boomslang though...

After you guys are done scrapping over which mouse is the best, you can all evolve and go for a trackball.

In my humble opinion... It must be all hype or some'n, but these mouses aren't ALL THAT! Why on Earth would anyone pay over 50 dollars for a mouse. In my little dorm room, me and my roommate have experimented with many new computer hardware and peripherals. This mouse is just too flat, and it doesn't seem to conform to the hand very well. The side buttons were too close, and the scroll wheel is too far. We have some pretty tight CS records and we still use some pretty ghetto mouses, the razor is now sitting at the CS dedicated server labtop. I'm using an old school optical, and my roommate uses a standard microsoft wheel mouse. My hand is about average sized, but my roommate has some pretty massive hands, he's a baller, and that razor mouse still doesn't fit comfortably in his hands. Just my opinion, use that money on some other computer part if you must spend $100 on your computer, say... more memory???

It's true, my hands aren't exactly massive, but they're bigger than average, as far as sensitivity is concerned, i'll agree with all those who swear by it's sensitivity, but the design of the mouse is very lacking, think: wide, flat, and buttons in difficult positions, like he said, the scroll button is WAAAY up. The other thing that is crappy is that it's designed once size fits all for lefties as well as righties, it's the same mouse....for $100 bucks, I better be getting a right hand specific or leftie specific mouse, this 'one size fits all' crap seems lazy. As I said, sensitivity:GREAT, button layout and design: NOT VERY GREAT I would only recommend this mouse if you have a thin wide hand with LONG LONG LONG ass fingers...
