there are 2 sets of leads coming from the back of the hardcano....

set 1:
fan1, fan2, fan3, fan4, for power supply (2 pin in a 4 pin casing), for power supply (ditto)

set 2:
one female and one male power connecter (4 pin)

what's the deal with set 2? is this the actual power for the face? if not then what the hell is it for? I'm regretting this feature of the case more and more and I haven't even got everything hooked up yet...

anyone?

I'd hate to make a guess, be wrong, and then have to redo all my nice wire placement....

What harcano are you using? There are 13 diferent versions, AFAIK.

I have a Hardcano 13, and the 'set2' is for connecting a 3pin fan to the 4 pin power supply molex connector.

Set 2 is for the main power to the controller. The male connector mates with the power supply and the female connector mates with another device that shares power with the controller. Since it's near the top, you can use it to power your optical drive for example.

Set 1 is NOT for the power supply, you'll fry your damn controller. Those are for the fans. You plug each fan into the corresponding connector (assuming that each fan has a four pin molex connector). If the fans have three pin connectors, then you can buy adapters for pennies a piece.
