Hardcano: how do I bypass CPU fan control?

😕I'm just wiring up the Harcano that comes with Thermaltakes Damier case (V5000A) and can't seem to bypass the CPU fan control. I want the BIOS to do that for me.
The CPU fan is plugged into the motherboard (Gigabyte K8NXP-SLI). The only connections from the case to the motherboard are the power switch/reset/power LED/HDD LED and speaker yet the big dial near the top of the case will control the CPU fan - this dosn't seem possible to me but I've not built a PC for a few years and never with a fan control.

I've not gone into the BIOS yet but it seems (from the manual) that the "CPU Smart Fan Control" is enabled by defalt so the fan should not even come on below 50C.

Please help a very confused person!

Why not just don't plug anything into it then. Just plug your fans into the mobo directly.

just above the top right corner of the hsf bracket, to the left of the capacitors is a 3pin plug that says "CPU_FAN" next to it

surely I can't plug all my case fans into the CPU fan plug or can I?

no, each motherboard 3pin fan connector is only for 1 fan...

in that same picture, on the bottom left of the board is another 3pin fan connector labeled "SYS_FAN"... (right next to a mounting hole)

i dont see anymore but i could be overlooking them.. either look in the manual or scour the board for those 3 pin connectors 🙂

If you mean the CPU fan to the CPU_FAN plug thats what I already did (read first post). Which is why I can't understand how the Hardcano is controling it - nothing from the Hardcano is plugged into the motherboard. Its crossed my mind that I'm not getting many replies because people think i'm winding them up or something.

I think I'm just going to run it as it is and put the CPU fan on full blast to be safe untill I can find a solution (I'm running a K6 400MHz and can't wait to get this 64 bit athlon going). I've contacted Thermaltake but no reply as yet.

Somebody out there must have had a similar/same situation
