i swear there should be one in the garage somewhere... but i looked on every shelf, in every box, and could not find one at all.

so... if i have to buy something should i buy a dremel with cutting bit or a regular circular saw? need to cut regular pine 2x4

Dremel? Are you kidding? Better check the depth of the blade in the circular - it may not make it all the way through the 2x4. Can't go wrong with a good ole hand saw for cheap and easy.

Score it with a butter knife, place it across two cinder blocks on the ground, and go kung fu on it, breaking it with your head.

Are you going to need a circular saw for anything else? If you only have a few 2 x 4s I'd buy a regular handsaw and a cold beer.

Dremel? hahahahaha, Elfenix pop over my house and I will let you borrow my circular saw, hand held circular saw, reciprocating saw, table saw, miter saw or compound miter saw. Any of those will work.
