hard to decide! - asus tv880 or leadtek tv2000

These both seem good, but I cant decide which one to get.

The Leadtek is way more popular and mush easier to find. I'm nto ever sure wher to get an ASUS.

But, the Asus seems to have a newer & better chip.

The Leadtek is NOT supported by Personal Video Station 3, but maybe because it has hardware mpeg2, whihc is actualy better than the tv880. Or is it?

I'm very confused and need some advice!!

Does *anyone* here have the ASUS tv800 and know where to get one?

Do I have to get the Leadtek just cos it's all I see anywhere?

I have an Asus TV880, and it works great. I got it at Newegg, but they no longer stock it. Asus (and many other manufacturers) are working on an even better TV tuner using a new chipset, which should be out at the end of the summer. You might want to wait for that new tuner to come out...

yah, I got mine at Newegg too, a couple days later, it was gone. Havent seen it since anywhere. The image is crystal clear and it is so easy to install and use. If you can find it, go with the ASUS or wait for the new model. It will be worth it.

Does anyone have any further knowledge on when these new chips/new cards might hit?

In computers you can wait forever for the "next one"...

Seems like none of these tv tuner cards are quite "ready for ptimetime"

All seem to be decent, but no standouts, and trouble with all of them!

The leadtek xp2000 seems popular, but so much bad is said about the (buggy) software.
