Hi guys...

Back again :)

I'm having some problems with soft reboots of my PC.

Config is:
P3-700 @ 966 (1.75v).
MSI BXMaster (Latest 5.5 BIOS)
Creative Geforce2 @ 220/365

Everything runs fine but if I do a soft reboot (CTRL+ALT+DEL) on
the computer, it won't reboot. Just sits there with a blank screen.
I have to hold the power button in and wait for 4 seconds to
shut it down and then have to hard reboot it.

Is this a problem with the BX Chipset and high FSB speeds?
I'm running @ 138Mhz

I'm wondering if its power supply oriented... my good old 235watt
ATX PS is powering my p3-966, 2 HDDs, 2 CD-ROMS and 5 case fans.

Any thoughts?

Cheers
Lycan

Hello Lycan,
I have the same problem with a BX Master and Celeron ll 566 @ 850, set up, I have been pulling my hair out over this problem. I have also
read about others having the identical problem. After reading your post I'M beginning to believe it is a BX Master motherboard problem. I wish that some one from MSI who frequents these forums would give us some imput. I even dropped my Celeron speed down to default speed and still have the same problem. I'm just about ready to go with a Abit and Duron. I would love use one of the new MSI K7T Pro 2 mother boards, but I don't trust MSI any more. Radarman
