Hard rock song with an irish theme?

I was listening to the radio a few days ago and heard a hard rock song with an Irish theme to it. Since it was on the radio, I'm assuming it was somewhat new (last 2-3 years).

Any ideas on what it might have been?

Possibly could have been the new White Stripes song Icky Thump that has a weird Irish jig type octavia-fuzz guitar breakdown but again not really hard rock.

Carbon Leaf has an Irish-folksy sound to it. They had a semi-hit with "The Boxer" a few years ago.

I'd be very surprised to hear DM on the radio though they definitely fit the bill

I'm guessing it could be a Dropkick Murphys song. The one from The Departed is "I'm Shipping Up to Boston".

Flogging Molly was it, but it sounds pretty lame now compared to what I thought I heard. I thought I had heard some really nice hard rock that had a touch of an irish theme to it... oh well

Edit: I'll listen to the other guesses as well, hoping somehow that it was one of those and that they're better :p

Yeah, I'm in Little Massachusetts (also known as Tampa Bay) and thats the only song from DM people around here know.

And The Departed kicked ass. I've officially forgiven Leo for Titanic.

I just watched it two days ago. I agree with that statement. He's redeemed himself.

It took the Departed combined with Blood Diamond for me to forgive him.

He was good in Catch Me If You Can. I haven't seen Blood Diamond yet.

It was probably FNX. Back then FNX would pay anything new to break themselves away from other stations. Those days have sadly passed, however:(

Actually, those are the 3 movies combined that made me change my mind about him. The second half of Blood Diamond was insane, he was pretty much a badass throughout that whole part of the movie.
