Hard Mounted Fan

When talking about fans, what exactly does the term "hard-mounted" refer to? Does this mean the fan is unremovable?

Not in my experience, it refers to being screwed to the case by te 4 corners as opposed to being clipped into a bracket or otherwise easily removed. Some cases have clip-in brackets, like the thermaltak.e
