Rich Hill of the Dodgers tosses a 9 inning no hitter with no walks, loses his perfect game on a 9th inning error. Game goes to extra innings as it was 0-0 after 9. Dodgers let Hill go out for the 10th and he gives up a leadoff home run to lose the no-no, the shutout and the decision too. Ouch.
Commentators said it was the first time in MLB history that a perfect game was broken up by a 9th inning error.
He was pulled from a 7 inning perfect game last season to save his arm for the playoffs.
