Well its not doing it constantly (more like every couple of weeks) But this is what I noticed:
1. Hard drive makes a click noise, then aspinning/powering up whine, then makes the "working" sound for several seconds, then stops.
2. A bit later it'll just poop out entirely and crash windows
3. Sometimes it'll show back up and be fine and dandy, other times it'll not be detected.
Right now i have it disabled in bios, but its still making the noise i described in #1 every 5-10 minutes or so. Is my drive dying (or possibly dead) or do you think a low level format will fix this problem?
