Hard drives keep failing

I've had 3 hard drives die in the last couple of months - two within a couple weeks of each other. The first two I chalked up to a coincidence - drives die. Now I think my computer is killing them. Is it possible that the power supply is causing the problem? Or another piece of hardware? I'm in an old house that probably doesn't have the greatest wiring in the world, but I have another computer running on the same circuit that hasn't had a problem yet.
