Ok so got a new MB/CPU/RAM and was just installing it last night. Well heard that Win XP can be fussy about having new hardware. So this afternoon I put my HD on this puter as the slave and reformated and was going to do a fresh install of XP on my computer. So after I change the jumper settings back to master and hook everything back up I start it up. It posts, starts to boot up but I get the black screen with...

"A disk read error occurred

Press ctrl+alt+del to restart"

Well if I do that it doesn't do anything...anything I press doesn't do anything. And everytime I restart I get to the same screen.

Any ideas?

Full specs of the hardware will help, what's it made of? :) Also, did you remember to make your CD-ROM drive the first boot device?
