my friend has a notebook hd with CRE's. he has some pictures from his wedding along with lots of documents from work that he had not yet backed up. its a sata drive. i was wondering is there any program/solution for this issue. or could someone provide me with some guidance in fixing this for him. thanks.
 
That means the data being read was corrupted during the read, it's possible it's a cable/interference problem but chances are that the disk is dying and you should be happy to get whatever you can off of it.
