Hard Drive Warranty

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but didn't Maxtor D740X-6L drives have 3 year warranties? I know that drives sold after Oct. 1 are one year, but my Maxtor drive, about nine months old, just died on me last night. According to the Maxtor site, the warranty expired on July 16. Is it truly out of warranty, or am I getting ripped off?
 
Yeah, I bought it brand new from NCIX.com up here in Canada. And yeah, that's how I found out that it was out of warranty was throught that link you posted. I could post the Serial and GTLA after I get off of work, though.
