Hard drive seems to being accessed an awful lot while nothing in terms of tasks is running. As a result, the system is very sluggish at times.

Is there a utility that can tell me what process/application is doing this.
Then I can figure out how to disable it if I do not need it.

XP Pro
IE 8
Chrome
Zone Alarm
Spybot
Ad Aware
AVG

Laptop has 1GB RAM and hard drive is 40GM w/ 33 used.

Problem has existed well before last series of upgrades to Ad Aware and Spybot.

All the above are current and nothing is being reported by the last 3 items.

get rid of tea timer if you installed it. it will lag your system down (like secunia psi). trust me.

you don't need ad aware. i'd ditch AVG for MSE and ditch zone alarm too.

XP PRO
IE9
chrome
Firefox 5
Spybot S&D (no tea timer)

you need more ram - or move to windows 7 and do readyboost. that will make a huge gain.
