hard drive troubles

Ok so i was using an old maxtor 20 gig hd, and i decided that i want a bigger faster one, so i bought an 80 gig samsung from a local store

It's now installed, my computer boots up fine, when i go to add hardware it shows the drive, same with device manager, however, when i try to save something to it, i only have my C drive, which is the original 20 gig i have

I'm sure that there is some stupid little thing I'm doing wrong, but anyways it's frustrating

Please help, Graeme

What OS are you using? If using windows XP, go to control panal, administrative tools, computer managemen, and then to disk management. You can partitian and format the drive there, and then it will be assigned a drive letter.
