I've been having some computer trouble (see http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...tid=34&threadid=1702186&enterthread=y)
I've found that the hard drive has "Basic structure corruption". I'm trying to low level format it now with Seagate's DiskWizard but when I boot to the DiskWizard CD I burned it doesn't seem to load, just says Loading files into memory and then prompts me to choose a way to Load ASPI stuff (skip loading ASPI, specify location, or detect automatically). No matter which option I choose it then says:
Thank you for using DiscWizard
-
A: = Boot files (CD) A:
B: = Floppy drive if attached
C: = RAM drive
X: = CD-ROM drive
-
NOTE: DOS drive letter assignments are dynamic and will change as storage hardware is mounted, unmounted, added or removed. Only FAT partitions and file systems are recognized by DOS. If your Windows system uses NTFS partitions, they will not receive a DOS drive letter. Be very careful when formatting drives or deleting files. Always verify that you have chosen the correct drive letter.
-
Please remove your CD and press CTRL+ALT+DEL to reboot.
And then it drops me to a DOS command prompt. Any suggestions?
