Hard Drive testing programs

Anyone know any good drive tst progs? I tried IBM Drive test with no luck. I have 2 IBM drives and one is causing probs. Any suggestions?

What problems are you having using IBM's DFT?

I show no problems on all drives....
I know one is the culpret because I have probs detecting the drive at startup and I have momentary lockups (sorry, search for me at general hardware)

Have you eliminated the controller and data cable as possible causes of the problem?
